The Doctoral Student Representatives at the University can help you to get familiar with country, to find accomodation, to get in touch with other PhD students. They also offer free workshops to improve soft skills. Their email address is info@bmeedk.hu

Research plan and report management

At the beginning of each semester the PhD students need to submit a research plan through the web portal https://portal.vik.bme.hu/phd (this portal is avaialble only in Hungarian, please ask your supervisor for help).

At the end of the semesters a report has to be submitted, too. This report summarizes the activity of the student, including the teaching activity, the courses accomplished, the results achieved in research and the current state of the publications. This report has to be submitted on the same portal as the research plan.

The activity of the Doctoral Council 

The most important organization for awarding doctoral degrees, the Doctoral Council of the Faculty, meets every month. The memos of these meetings, which provide information on the progress of doctoral affairs, are available here in Hungarian on this web page.
